Cambria and a Life Change

Well a lot has changed in a little bit of time. After Natalie started Kindergarten, it became quite clear that the gallery was going to start affecting our family time. While I wasn’t always around the gallery, either traveling or painting, I still felt that when I was in town I should work during the weekends. I loved meeting new people and talking with our good collectors. However, Natalie is in school until 1 pm every weekday, takes a nap from 2:30 to 5 pm, and then goes to sleep at 7:30 at night. This isn’t a whole lot of time to be with her dad. After the first week on this schedule, she asked for us to take some time together. Our family headed up to Cambria where she stated “see Dad, isn’t it great to be a family?” That was it. . . . Done. We were blessed that Danna wanted to move to Ojai and run a gallery just at the time I wanted out. Well, the rest is history. Here is a sketch from our time in Cambria.
