In December we returned to Kate’s favorite tropical destination, – the Big Island of Hawaii. Since the island is so much bigger than Kauai, and we always enjoy how varied the landscape is, we opted to stay at 3 different places on the island. We stayed at Kahaluu-Keauhou, the Kapoho tide pools, and at the amazing home of the Sine’s. I love the climate of Paauilo and just relaxing on the porch. Here is a sketch from another perfect day hanging out at the house. At Kapoho, Natalie enjoyed snorkeling at the tide pools and was able to see a turtle face to face. Here is a sunset that we caught before we went to watch a glimpse of the lava from Volcanoes National Park. Finally, we talked with Lori and dropped off some artwork at her amazing gallery, Kohala Coast Fine Art, located at the King Shops at Waikoloa.
