Our December Big Island Adventure

We all had a great time in Hawaii on the Big Island. What did we do? Basically we played on the beach, went snorkeling, rode a bike, painted some, watched a hula performance, went snorkeling again, played on the beach some more,  went to a Hawaiian concert, went swimming,  visited a black sand beach, painted a little more, built sandcastles, drank Kona coffee, painted again, went snorkeling again, hiked a lava tube, ate chocolate covered macadamia nuts, went snorkeling, painted a little more, played go-fish, hiked the volcano, snorkeled some more, painted some more, had an art show, drank pog, drank more Kona coffee, watched another hula show, played the ukulele, went to a zoo, visited a waterfall, painted even more, went snorkeling yet again, and saw some rainbows, a bunch of turtles, and a boatload of cool fish.

Hawaiian Art Show

I felt honored to have an art show at the Kohala Coast Fine Art gallery. Lori always does such a great job showcasing my artwork and was so kind to put on such a lovely event. It was a pleasure to give a little painting demonstration while people could feast on champagne and pupus. Next time you are visiting the Big Island, make certain to visit her gallery located in the Kings’ Shops in Waikoloa.

Kapoho, Hawaii

We always love spending time on this part of the island. Along with the great lava pools to snorkel, Kapoho always has nice breezes, a ton of rainbows. and amazing sunrises and sunsets. Natalie managed to see both an eel and a turtle on her first snorkeling attempt at the pools. I managed to just sit on our lanai and paint our great view.
