Santa Fe Fun

Follow the Leader

Besides continuing to paint from my studies, sketches and photos from our travels throughout Europe, I have been busy painting new scenes for a brand new gallery in Santa Fe. I was honored when the owner of Tartaglia Fine Art asked if I would show my artwork and be represented in her newest venture in New Mexico. I have always been a big fan of Edgar Payne and his paintings of the west, and was excited to try and capture this unique area. The gallery’s grand opening will be April 18. Here are a few of the paintings that they will have on display.

Since our return from Europe, I’ve been busy taking in all the beauty of the California landscape. I am happy to live in a place where a loving screech of a red shouldered hawk wakes me each morning, (since they have decided to once again call our palm tree home) and the incredible smell of orange blossoms fills the air. We have had a seemingly¬† endless variety of cloud formations in the Ojai valley, which combined with the great temperatures and impressive sunsets, have been quite the inspiration. We also decided to venture out and hit the coast. Along with celebrating our twin Godsons’ birthday in Santa Barbara, we escaped to Cambria to explore the cliffs and chill out with the huge elephant seals.
