Exploring Colorado

Besides painting around Aspen, I took a few weeks to explore Rocky Mountain National Park, Vail, and Boulder, Colorado. What an amazing landscape and beautiful weather. I was able to catch the wildflowers in full bloom. I was also able to witness a nice bear meandering through those nice wildflowers about 30 feet away from me as I sat motionless behind my easel with paintbrush in hand. I also had a great time seeing several moose, one of which was only about 3 feet away from me, thankfully I was hiking to my destination and didn’t feel so trapped. Here are some of the paintings I completed as well as some of the wildlife.
