Creating in Carp

Although Carpinteria is only a short 22 miles away from our home, it has an entirely different feel from Ojai. For starters, it can be foggy and a cool 68 degrees, while in Ojai it is bright and sunny and 94 degrees. This small oceanside city is a great place to surf a sweet right point break, stroll the sandy beach or the seaside cliffs, and have a beer while enjoying the view at Island Brewing Company.

Cambria’s Newest Gallery

The Nest Gallery, Cambria, CA

I am thrilled to announce that my work will now be represented by a new gallery in Cambria, California called The Nest Gallery. The owner, Cherie Jensen, has a great vision of trying to create the feeling of a true salon.  A place where artists feel safe to share ideas and gather inspiration. Along with workshops from accomplished artist, the gallery also has a tea house, where one can sit outside in the back and discuss the work, the weather, and the dreams of fellow artisans. I just enjoy any excuse to get over to Cambria and paint. The coastline is always changing. With the pines and cypress, along with the wildflowers and boardwalks, it is easy to become enamored with this part of California.
